Affordable Recreation and Travel
The mission of Maumee Valley Adventurers is to educate and empower people of all ages, cultures and economic backgrounds by providing and advocating for affordable recreational and travel opportunities.
Maumee Valley Adventurers is an Ohio Nonprofit 501(c)3 organization
We are a hike, bike and travel club in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan.
MVA continues a 40+ year tradition with programming such as:
- A 13-week winter Travel Circle series in cooperation with Metroparks Toledo
- Bike tours, which are also our main fundraisers
- Weekly hikes and group rides
- Outreach to support youth groups interested in travel and cultural exchange
- Social activities to bring people together​​
- Overnight bikepacking tours

MVA sponsors Cycling Without Age - Toledo and works with other organizations to advocate for bike and pedestrian safety.
Maumee Valley Adventurers began in July 2012 when the former HI-Toledo Area Council was dissolved in a national reorganization of Hostelling International USA. From the beginning, we have built on our legacy with new and exciting programs. We hope that you will be part of it.

Membership is just $10/year, but is not required to attend Travel Circle programs or to participate in one of our activities.
